  1. My ThinkPad L420 has an unknown supervisor password on it. I shorted PIN SCL and SDA on the BIOS EEPROM chip during POST. It worked at first. I can get into the BIOS setting pages. I disabled BIOS password. But when I reboot my computer it locked itself again. I then shorted SCL and SDA PINS the second time. I found the security password is enabled again and everything is greyed out and I cannot make any changes again on the BIOS security page. So it looks like simply shorting the SCL and SDA pins on the BIOS EEPROM chip isn't always working.
